Happy Wheels on PC

On a PC you have two official choices: the free browser game, or Steam. Steam supports Windows 10 64-bit and Linux. It does not support macOS, so a Mac uses the browser.

Where to play

The Steam API lists windows true, linux true, mac false, and an empty mac_requirements list. We do not turn that into an unsupported native Mac download or a tested Wine recipe. The official December 2020 browser announcement describes a 60 fps setting and heavy-level slowdowns, not guaranteed frame rates on every device.

Pick a path

Browser play needs a current browser with WebGL. Steam’s minimum spec, from the store requirements, is an Intel Core i3 or AMD equivalent at 2.0 GHz or better, 4096 MB of RAM, a WebGL or DirectX 11 GPU, and 1024 MB of available disk space. That storage requirement is not a measured download size. Linux lists glibc 2.31 / Ubuntu 20.04.

Steam Deck, briefly

The Deck compatibility report refreshed on 2 October 2026 resolved to Playable, not Verified. The notes called out an incomplete default controller layout, mismatched button icons, and the on-screen keyboard not opening for text. Fancy Force said after launch that controller and Deck behavior would keep getting work. This is a dated compatibility report, not a guarantee for every device configuration.
